Runway

Just wanted to go in and say hi ! I have since Tuesday morning been in in Skรฅne. Together with some of my oldest and closest friends we took a plane to visit our friend ร…sa. Its been almost one year ago I spent time with these girls, so clearly we had the best time. I just woke up in the apartment in Stockholm and if I can mention just one memory from our days in Skรฅne is laughter. I just remember laughing until crying over an over on this short trip.

More stories and pictures from my days with the girls later today. Right now I have a very excited (and slightly irritating ๐Ÿ™‚ ) mother who is stressing me to get ready. Apparently the crown princes of Sweden, Victoria, has her 40th birthday celebration today. The city is crazy of course, filled with tourists and swedes who loves the royalties.
Stockholm is giving us sun today so I am looking forward to spend the day with Suz (mum) in the city. Its gonna be great. Like always, the only thing missing, that would make the day perfect is Ambrose.

Spend the day outside if you guys can! Come in here later for to see my recommendations on Skรฅne and Copenhagen. xx

Denmark

Today has not been exciting enough to take pictures of haha. I have been cleaning the house, running errands, grocery shopping, visit to my physiotherapist and acupuncture for my neck. Nobody wants to see pictures of me running errands ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have also tried to look up some pictures from when I was visiting Denmark with Ambrose. Think it was end of 2015 or beginning of 2016. I am flying to south of Sweden with some friends in a couple of days, and we have decided to take the train over to Copenhagen while we are down there. I am trying to get some memories back from looking at our old pictures because we had such a great time there. I especially wanted to find this lovely restaurant where we had breakfast one morning. But I cant find it! There are too many pictures from our trip, here are some. How charming isn’t Copenhagen!?!

If we ever would move back to Scandinavia, I could seriously consider living in Copenhagen. Its the perfect mix of north and south of Europe.

lazy days in Stockholm

Here are some pictures from Thursday (when I arrived in Stockholm ) and from Friday. It has has been a good couple of days. Relaxed, spent with family and friends. I notice I have been away for quite a long time from the children. They are completely different from last time I spent time with them, they talk and they walk.

Sweden is green and pretty as I remembered. I go from one house to another, not a dull moment. This time, I have put a note in my calendar the dates people are away on vacation. I came to visit in July, in Sweden, this is prime vacation days. Everybody is leaving somewhere. And as I mentioned before, I have, as much as possible, eliminated stress and unnecessary drama from my life. That is why I put as much as possible in my calendar. That way I can organize and plan so that I can spend quality time with every person, and enjoy it. Where as before it was all stressful, I often felt guilty for not giving time to one person. Or people felt that I was neglecting them while I was visiting. Now, I make plans, both for my own and my friends and families benefit.

One thing I realized recently is that I am really proud over how much I simplify Life in comparison to before.
How easy I react to different outcomes. How effortlessly I let go of things that no longer serves me. And how much more harmony I experience in my life. Really proud of that.

Whale watching in Sydney

The morning before my flight to Europe we made sure to enjoy as much as possible. I am a person who usually wakes up at 6 am. I don’t need that many hours. Ambrose on the other hand needs his 18 plus hours of sleep haha. My love…
So I woke up, went out to out beautiful living area at our hotel and did a meditation. After that I sneaked to the bakery and got us breakfast. Fresh juice, ham and cheese croissant and a baguette. All hot from the oven !

We got ready and went out to the city. Ambrose had prepared a surprise for meย  and we had to be at a certain location at midday. I had forgot my handbag back at the house. Luckily for me Leonard (Ambrose brother) met up with us to give me my bag! Our meeting point was this cool place. Loved it!

The food-truck in the background served Lebanese dishes and were blasting absolute amazing Arabic music.
A must return to place for me….

My surprise was whale watching ! What kind of lovely person gives this perfect present <3
The best part was that the guide who has been doing these tours for years told us that we were unbelievably lucky. he said they had never spotted that many whales ever! There were around 30 enormous whales around us.
We literally had whales surrounding our boat.

After a couple of hours on the boat we meet up with some friends for some drinks and dinner at this cool Korean bbq restaurant. Such a fun place!! I am gonna find out the name of this place for you guys, because I can really recommend it. We finished the night off with ice cream before going home and falling asleep on Ambrose’s chest.
Perfect day from the moment I opened my eyes till I fell asleep <3

Touchdown Sweden

Hello again from a very weird time ๐Ÿ™‚ I was unsure were I was when I woke up ๐Ÿ™‚
I think now its about 6am, I woke up at 4 in the morning….
Really tried lying in bed sleeping some more but my body was ready to get up so no point arguing. I am sitting here in a empty apartment with like no food at all. The store is not open yet but its fine because I have a breakfast date with 2 of my favorites I haven’t seen in almost a year now ; Emilia & Alexanderย  ๐Ÿ’œ

After that I have a ton of errands I need to do before meeting my beautiful friends tonight.
I have been waiting for the day to start since I have all these people I cannot wait to see. Been waiting since 4am haha !!

Yesterday after my last flight from Amsterdam to Stockholm Arlanda it was lovely to see my friend Suzie’s face at the airport. She picked me up and since I had the best sleep on (all) my 3 flights I was not tired at all. So instead of going to the apartment and rest we went to pick up some Swedish food I really have missed went to her parents house and had a small feast. Missed talking to my girlfriends here in Sweden so much !

We stayed and talked until around 10 pm, you do have alot to catch up on after almost 11 months….
after she drove me to the apartment. It was there when it got a bit weird. haha it felt so strange, maybe because usually my family are there or something but I felt like I was in someone else house. Not where I grew up. Very bizarre.

This morning it felt much better. I managed to find the wifi and some tea so I am good to start the day. Alot going on today, always like that the first couple of days.

Have a lovely day everybody. xx

Stopover number 2 – Amsterdam

Hey hey,

Sitting now in Amsterdam Airport. Found a lounge and just ordered a sandwich and a coffee, have around 2 hours here so I will keep updating you guys.

I had a good flight and again, slept most of it Zzzzzzzz. I guess I am pretty lucky to be able to sleep most of the time I am on an airplane. Guess I trained my body to do so since I have been traveling quite a fair bit by now. I had the seat next to me free so I could spread out and enjoy. When I did manage to stay awake I watched an interview on Oprah’s life and David Blane. Love both these people, both extraordinary if you ask me. Ambrose dislike both of them hahaha. Miss Ambrose already and I haven’t even reach my destination yet. Hmmmm. I am thinking to shorten this Europe trip even more now.

Reporting directly from Abu Dhabi

Hi guys, I know its been days since I’ve been in here but as I am leaving for some weeks to Europe, I wanted to spend all my time with Ambrose!
As I am writing this I am sitting in a cafeteria in Abu Dhabi Airport, after a 14 hour flight…. That was packed by the way!
Luckily for me I slept most of the flight, wold be crazy otherwise I think hahaha.
My next flight, to Amsterdam, is in about 45 minutes so I thought I take this time and tell you a little about the last couple of days in Sydney.

I am just gonna be gone a couple of weeks so I haven’t even made a big deal about this trip. The love of my life on the other hand, he made sure we had some great days. As always.
He took Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of from work. He asked me to pack and the first surprise was that we would spend some days before my flight (on Wednesday) in a apartment hotel. We got an amazing corner room, floor to ceiling windows, overlooking, well most of Sydney ๐Ÿ™‚

We just spent time being together, eating my favorite stuff in beautiful cafeterias in the sun.
Swimming ( in winter !!) at Bondi beach.
And On Tuesday…he surprised me with a – whole day whale watching safari boat. More about that later. All I can say is that it was more than we could hope for, we saw around 30 whales !!! That is beyond luck.

I need to start heading towards my gate now. Don’t know how far away it is and I don’t feel like missing it and get stuck at this (sorry) boring airport.

I leave you guys with some pictures of our days.

Best Friends

There is alot going on these days. We are packing up. Moving. I am visiting Europe. Ambrose is changing jobs. I have to organize Dr’s appointments. We are booking moving trucks and cleaners. And on and on it goes. Its alot but I am really excited. New adventures ๐Ÿ™‚
I always make sure that my mornings are calm and nice. I have been starting my days with breakfast at one of the local cafe’s around us. If I start my day like this I am going definitely being more efficient and happy while doing all that needs to be done throughout the rest of the day. Thatยดs for sure. As I had my black coffee, today at The Bunker. I came across old pictures of my best friends back in Sweden. We have been going strong for many many years now haha. Such great memories. I got all chocked up and felt such gratitude while going true old memories of all of us. Shit I am blessed to have these girls in my life. Wow ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are some old memories ……..

Hanging out at Susie’s balcony, chain smoking and talking for hours….When we all run for charity….. spontaneous boating day with ร…sa…..Back in a “black cab”, trying to get home with the sunset after being out dancing. Love Swedish summer nights… hahaha, I give you this…. I have been ridiculed like crazy for this picture. Crayfish party…… We used to sit for hours with a coffee and cigarettes talking and talking and talking…… Again, hahahha no words needed for this picture…… Dancing like there is no tomorrow …….. One of us found an old photo album with old goodies…..Mikaela & Claes’s wedding ……….. pre-drinks getting ready to go out………… When I come to Susie’s house to pick her up and I found her in this ugly outfit ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Boner’s 30th birthday out on the countryside

Posing with the birthday boy! His name is actually Burner, I through it was Boner when I first met him, so now the poor guy is stuck with it. I blame the Australian accent nobody really can understand!

Me and Kate trying to get pictures with the enormous fire behind us ๐Ÿ™‚

Boner tried to get us all to do some games here none of us really got the rules.

They had food coming all night. BBQ baby lamb on spit that they had bough from the neighbors farm was by far my favorite. Hmmmm

The giant fire that kept all the guest hot all night.

We all camped out there on their farm. Woke up to having one of the uncles cooking us breakfast that we all had around the fireplace.

Next night we all stayed over at Drew and Ellie’s house. I had to take a picture of the veggies they grow in their garden.

Joke of the weekend. Heath booked Ambrose as “Ambrouzchs” at every restaurant we made a reservation for the entire long-weekend. hahah

Found this hanging outside the veranda on the farm ๐Ÿ™‚

Wine tasting in Mudgee

Fireplace, great wines, amazing view overlooking the fields of grapes that you are sipping on. Whats not to like!?

One last stop before heading back home. HERE at Logan Wines

Ambrose and Heath always being “too friendly” hahaha. Such little creeps! Wonder what the poor woman who took this photo for us must have though…. ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful beautiful Mudgee! Felt so good being back here.
I am planing to make you guys a list of my personal favorite wineries for wine tasting in Mudgee. Would you guys like that?
I have not yet been in Hunter Valley, which is probobly the most famous area for wine here in Australia. However, I do have alot of friends who has been there and they are all in agreement that Mudgee out-beats Hunter Valley. Its just a level of charm and authenticity among the wineries here that is very unique I think. Ambrose always tells me that we should buy a house here, and I have always told him no. But visiting Mudgee this time, I am really starting to change my mind. I would love to have a weekend getaway house here.

I will return with my list of “Must visit while in Mudgee” for you guys. Until then, get you Mudgee inspiration HERE

Glow Worm Tunnel

I know I have been away from here for a couple of days, sorry about that. It has been a long-weekend here in Australia, God knows why, queen birthday again or something… It really doesn’t matter, we used these days to the fullest haha!

One of our friend was invited us to celebrate his 30th birthday on his parents farm 30 minutes outside of Mudgee. As you might remember, we used to live in Mudgee for a while. We have been planing to go back and visit for some time now, so this long-weekend plus Boner’s birthday was perfect.

We managed to squeeze in quite a lot of things on this trip, I have therefore decided to post them in separate post’s in here. Otherwise it will be way too long! Lets start with something I really recommend – The Glow Worm Tunnel. Its this an old rail tunnel, 40 kilometers outside of Lithgow NSW. Inside this 400 meter long tunnel, which is pitch black by the way, you find these worms that glow in the dark. Its magnificent, I’ve never seen anything like it.

The 33 km long road to get to this place is an old dirt road. If you are not Australian, you probobly dont understand what this mean. All I can tell you is that its rough to drive on, no, actually this road was shit to drive on. It takes about one hour because the road is full of big wholes. If you have a normal car, don’t even think about it. You need a robust 4WD car to make it true. And prepare yourself for a bumpy ride!

But its worth it! Now I am going to finish my breakfast and run some errands, feels good to be back home! More stories from our weekend away later today. xx

date night tuesday

This Tuesday has so far been pretty good. Neither of us got much sleep but got up around 7.30am, did my morning meditation, had the breakfast I have been obsessed with these last few days – mini sesame crackers with strawberry jam and cheese with green tea.
Then I had alot to catch up on at my volunteer place so took the bus there ( its in the middle of city, so absolutely no parking spots and therefore I leave the car at home)

In the afternoon I came home, super tired from all the buzz and noise from the city. Worked a bit on my laptop in the lounge while admiring the sunset.

When Ambrose came home from the gym that evening we had date night planed so jumped in the car towards one of our favorite Japanese restaurants here in Sydney. Think there Ramen is voted something like top 3 in Sydney. Its called Ryo’s Noodles in Crows Nest. They dont take any reservations and its ALWAYS a long line outside so make sure you are there in time.

The original plan was to go to the movies first but we were both tired from lack of sleep, and we could not wait to get to our Ramen place! Afterwards we got some groceries for tomorrows dinner as we have friends coming over. We finished our night by going for a drive and singing along in the car.

Here is what I love about this city, almost everywhere you go, or get lost in has this perfect view or park or something. It was freezing cold so we only got a short stole in a little park overlooking the city.

Back at home now, had the longest hot shower and now I am about to fall asleep. Sweet dreams everyone. xx

picnic in north Sydney

Even though I was a bit grumpy today turned out to be great! We just came home from a perfect night out in the city. More about that tomorrow, just wanted to show you what a nice picnic we had today in North Sydney.
For lunch today I made these lovely but easy fish tacos and then some fresh watermelon. With a great view thats all you really need ๐Ÿ™‚
I made alot of food today as you can see, I was actually excused so I meditated in the sun in the afternoon and fell asleep straight after. I never ever sleep in the middle of the day! But it was good that I did, would not make the whole night in town otherwise ๐Ÿ™‚

Now sleep, more from tonight with lots of great tips for you guys in the morning. xx

lunch with the perfect view

Again my colleague texted me this morning to say that the whole office (we are not many) are still sick! I was really looking forward to going there this morning and get some work done. well well, what can you do. So I started with a morning Priming exercise with Tony Robbins to set the “tone” of the day. If you are interested check it out Here

After breakfast, cleaning up a bit and washing a load of clothes I decided to run some errands in Crows Nest. An area really close to us which I love.ย  Its just filled with restaurants, bars and cafe’s. In other words, my kind of neighborhood.

Of course I stared with a black coffee at a, for me new place called Bean Drinking. Can recommend this place, very charming, on a side street so not too noisy and great coffee plus service.

After doing all the stuff I needed to do, I drove down to one of my favorite points over the bridge – McMahons Point.
I bough lunch with me, sat in the car with the roof and windows open and listen to Dr Joe Dispenza. I think I found a new idol. The man is a genius, specially when it comes to explain difficult stuff such as neuroscientist, programing our subconscious mind etc. If you are interested I will post more on what I learned from him.
Anyway, back to the lunch with the perfect view! I enjoyed it so much that tomorrow I’m picking Ambrose up and we are having a picnic lunch down there ๐Ÿ™‚

Back home to our beautiful apartment, that somehow always seems to have the perfect light!
Now I have to get going. Making dinner for 5 people so better get started! I am thinking maybe roasted chicken in the oven and baked root veggies with lots of garlic. Think that might work guys ?. Hope so haha. xx

Vivid Sydney recommendations 2017

Apologies for being absent for the last few days! It was well needed, sometimes you just got to take som time and hand out with yourself.

Lets just dive straight back from where we left it shall we!? As I mentioned before, Vivid 2017 is full on here in Sydney. The streets are packed with locals but also tourists who have come here to enjoy these spectacular light shows. What you might not know ( I just found out myself ) is that the city is doing Vivid in order to draw more people out into the streets of Sydney during the winter season. As well as attract tourists that otherwise only consider to visit Sydney during summer.

I think its such an clever idea. It boosts the economy, people interact more and its great marketing for this city.

Here are some information and recommendations from me:

Date: May 26 to June 17
Time: 6PM to 11PM each night
Cost: Vivid is an free event
Public Transport: During Vivid certain roads are restricted for cars. There are 3500 extra public transport services available during Vivid. The ferries are illuminated from 6PM
Food: There are many food-stalls around the city. Most restaurants are open for business. For restaurants with views over Vivid, I strongly recommend to reservation.
Additional Recommendation: Take one the ferries or book The Bridge Climb for the ultimate view experience.

Music Box – Cadman’s Cottage, which is one of Sydney’s oldest buildings. Where: The Rocks
Urban Tree 2.0 – Where: Martin Place
The Museum of Contemporary Art – Where: Circular Quay
Future City – Where: Chatswood CBD
Birds of Lumos – Where: Royal Botanic Garden
